Credibility in RAL Quality Assurance – Ensured through independent, neutral verification

RAL Deutsches Institut für Gütesicherung und Kennzeichnung e. V. is responsible for the system of RAL Quality Assurance. As part of its monitoring, RAL regularly requires all Quality Assurance Associations to prove they operate in line with their statutes. This ensures the continued credibility of the RAL Quality Assurance system.

RAL Monitoring ensures the quality of the labelling system

The system of RAL Quality Assurance is an independent, self-contained system that represents higher-quality products and services. Clear Quality Assurance and Test Specifications are specified for each RAL Quality Mark (RAL Gütezeichen), to which the Quality Mark holders (companies) commit to complying. The RAL Quality Associations are responsible for monitoring companies’ compliance with these requirements.

During RAL Monitoring, RAL reviews the Quality Assurance Association’s activities. Through this monitoring process, RAL ensures that the respective RAL Quality Assurance is properly implemented in accordance with the specified statutes, Quality Mark documents and principles for Quality Marks.

RAL Monitoring Online data query and audit

At regular intervals, RAL requests data on the tasks performed by the Quality Assurance Association via the RAL Monitoring Online portal, and also carries out monitoring visits. If the results are positive, the RAL Quality Assurance Association is awarded a certificate confirming that its work complies with the RAL statutes.
